We’ve just had windows and doors supplied and fitted by Bellwood’s and cannot recommend them highly enough. From Joe, who sold the windows to us, to Dave and Les who fitted them, we had a friendly and professional service. We’re delighted with our doors and windows …they even arranged a builder to fit a new lintel to enable a safe install of our French doors. Thank you, Bellwood’s.

Best window fitters I've ever had. I've had several houses and these guys are great. Joe who came round first was brill. No sale tactics or call the manager rubbish. Just an honest and straightforward price. I was impressed from the get go. The turnaround was really fast. Dave and Les fitted them over 2 days. I noticed huge attention to detail inside and out. Perfectly sealed and spotlessly clean. They also went the extra mile lifting a big frame over the roof to get it in and also serviced another door I which I wasn't changing. I think the bacon sarnies swayed that one. Great lads all round. I highly recommend them. The windows and doors themselves are perfect. Makes a huge difference to the home. Thank you all.

The Advantages Of UPVC Windows

Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) is a hard plastic that’s perfect for windows and can be used for a variety of different frame styles. Some of the main advantages of UPVC windows are:

  • Durability: UPVC windows are incredibly durable and low-maintenance, unlike many common alternatives, such as wooden windows. Like all windows, UPVC windows require regular cleaning, but besides this, there is very little else that needs to be done to keep them functioning perfectly for over a decade.
  • Energy Efficient: Unlike aluminium or wooden windows, UPVC frames are incredibly energy efficient and can hold heat inside your property, meaning you’ll save on energy bills in the long run. UPVC windows can be doubled or triple glazed to give you the ultimate in thermal efficiency.
  • Eco-Friendly: As well as keeping in precious heat and reducing your energy use, UPVC windows are also eco-friendly, as they have a long lifespan and are often made from recycled material.
  • Customisable: With a range of sizes and styles to choose from, you can get the custom UPVC windows you need to suit your home. With UPVC coatings available in a range of colours, you can adapt your frames to fit anything from a traditional home to a modern space.
  • Soundproof: Double glazed windows are renowned for their sound insulation, but if the frames are not thick and secure, then you won’t see all the benefits. UPVC double glazed windows offer exceptional noise reduction, helping to limit sounds from the outside world.
  • Secure: UPVC windows are known for their enhanced security, as the frames won’t rot or warp over time, meaning there’s no space for thieves to prise their way in. These high-quality windows will give you peace of mind that your property is safe, so if you have old wooden windows that are warping, then now could be the time to upgrade.
  • Cost-Effective: Compared to other window styles, UPVC windows are an affordable alternative that provides great value for homeowners. Even in bad weather, UPVC windows don’t get much general wear and tear and are easy to maintain, saving you money on ongoing repairs and window care.

The only way to really make the most of these benefits is to get your UPVC windows installed by professionals like the team at Bellwood’s. Poorly fitted UPVC window frames won’t look good, retain heat or improve security for your home, and they’ll need replacing quicker.

Using experts like us, you can find the perfect window style for your home and ensure you get the best performance possible from your new windows. Get in touch today to see what Bellwood’s can do for you.

UPVC Windows FAQs

How Often Do UPVC Windows Need Replacing?

When installed correctly, UPVC windows can last anywhere between 10 and 35 years. If your UPVC windows are more than 20 years old, it might be a good idea to consider replacing them to improve security and ensure you make the most of the latest thermal efficiency technology on the market.

What Is The Difference Between UPVC And PVC Windows?

UPVC and PVC are both types of polyvinyl chloride, but the main difference is that PVC windows are coated in plasticisers, which makes the material more malleable and flexible. UPVC is more stable and strong, making it a better choice for long-lasting window frames.

What Is The Average Cost Of UPVC Windows?

Every project is different, so when Bellwood’s quotes for your UPVC windows, the first thing we do is measure your space and find out exactly what you’re looking for. Bespoke designs and larger window frames will cost more, so we take all of this into account when creating your unique quote. Our aim is to provide amazing value, which is why we work directly with manufacturers to get you the best possible price for your new windows.
